Having a rich history that began almost four centuries ago, Derry Borough is a small residential borough. Derry Borough has a population of 2,991 and has a small approximate size of one square mile.Incorporated in 1881, the Borough was created and considered a main focal point for transportation of goods, services, and individuals by railroad.

As years carry on, Derry Borough community members are aspired to seek growth and modernization by increasing local business, while continuing to concentrate on improvements with health, recreation, safety, and education.
